Rivers represent a suitable environment for spreading of allochtonous species diaspora, often of those with expansive character. Spreading of those species is not linear but represents various vectors resulting in allochtonous herb species increase along rivers and also into seminatural and natural biotopes, as well as agrostructures and other environs where conditions for accession of those species is possible. The intention of presented project is identification of riparian vegetation with the presence of allochtonous species and observation of changes in the biotopes species composition impacted by allochtonous species; observation of penetration of some species into agricultural land, especially permanent grass stands and forest land; and observation of those species influence on land use. The subject areas will be rivers Bodrog, Latorica and Ipeľ under lowland conditions, river Hron under basin conditions and streams of Slanské and Štiavnické mountains under submountain conditions
