The project deals with experimental research into natural convection heat transfer via holographic interferometry in the vicinity of heated bodies with diverse surface profiling. The use of simulation methods in modelling transfer
phenomena is also part of the project. Simulation findings will be compared with experimentally obtained results. After positive verification of calculations modelling may be used for optimizing heat exchange surfaces. Research into the effect of selected factors (an optical path length along the heat exchange surface, a temperature gradient, the resolution power of recording environment) on the accuracy of determination of temperature field distribution and, consequently, heat transfer parameters is the focus of the proposed project. Detailed distribution of the heat transfer parameters is inevitable to optimize different heat exchange areas.
