Evaluation of presence and diversity of obsolete varieties and landraces of fruit trees in White Carpathians region

Old varieties and landraces of fruit tree species Malus domestica Borkh. and Pyrus communis L.and its protecion belongs to the landscape ecology problematics. It includes also protection of genetic resources within the varieties. The aim of the project is to discover the present situation of diversity of old varieties and landraces within the mentioned fruit trees and distribution of Sorbus domestica L. The research will take place in the area of 3 cadasters in the White carpathians region. Thanks to this research we will continue in previous studies in this area, mainly the international project White Carpathians Fruit Treassure. It also makes the conditions for other operation with the problematics and regulation of effective protection of included species.
