Paleoecology - student's book

Paleoecology is a rapidly developing scientific discipline. Paleoecology can help to understand the origin and evolution of life and ecosystems on Earth. Paleoecology is also a good tool for predicting future changes in ecosystems, including changes caused by human activity. Paleoecology as scientific discipline is neglected in university study focused on biology, ecology, environmental sciences and Earth sciences in Slovak and Czech Republic. One of the reasons is the absence of textbooks aimed at general paleoecology. Therefore, the main aim of the project is to publish textbook of paleoecology.
