The bark, as of the components of a living tree and represents intricate structure that is significantly different properties and structure of the wood. The aim of the present project will examine the problem of holding bark which we call adhesion. Adhesion of wood/bark will be assesses through the shear strength operating in a two different directions by mechanical tests. Evaluated will be influence the period (dormant and growing) the wood species (oak, beech), the size and quantity of phloem rays on the adhesion wood/bark. Scrutinised properties of this project will be used mainly in the natural protective function of the bark and moreover in the primary processing of wood in the debarking.
